Maintenance

Just like your cars paint, if you want your wheels to last, regardless of finish keep them clean. Wheels should be cleaned weekly with a soft brush and soap. Road grime, salt, contaminants and brake dust are the enemies of long life to wheel finishes. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners. Some cleaners are harsh and could damage your wheel finish. Also be aware that many car washes use strong chemicals to clean wheels and tires that could cause damage to your wheel finish. Do NOT clean wheels when HOT, allow wheels to cool.

Wheel Replicas wheels come in five finishes:

a. Chrome Platted.

c. Painted Mirror and Clear Coated.
d. Hyperblack

Wheel Replicas hyperblack wheels have clear protective coating. Your hyperblack wheels require only mild soap and a soft brush. When your wheels are clean, we recommend to also wax your wheels periodically or as needed with a non-abbrasive wax. . This will help seal the surface and help you wheels be more resistant to brake dust.

Polished Aluminum Wheels
Polished aluminum wheels have a mirror like finish that is obtained by a buffing. They require more periodic maintenance than other finishes, depending upon the climate, road conditions and your driving conditions. Polished aluminum alloy wheels require the highest degree of maintenance and a certain amount of oxidation is to be expected as the wheels naturally oxidize with age. Polished wheels can be re-polished commercially or by hand with many aftermarket polish cleaners. There are many sealants on the market today which can help seal the polish against outside elements. If Polished wheels are not cleaned for an extended time, oxidation may be difficult to buff out. Polished wheels require regular maintenance.
